Our laboratory is regularly reviewed by NATA, the National Association of Testing Authorities and is certified by NATA and Medicare Australia. TissuPath's certification can be viewed at NATA's web site.

Our pathologists are all Fellows of the Royal College of Pathology of Australasia (F RCPA) and both our pathologists and laboratory scientists participate in all required quality assurance (QA) programs, such as that provided by the RCPA. In addition, TissuPath has an "in house" QA program to ensure maintenance of quality pathology reporting as well as consistency of diagnostic criteria. TissuPath pathologists are all specialists, and TissuPath limits its pathology reporting to areas in which our pathologists have such expertise.

Our pathologists are available for consultation, and will call the doctor immediately if the case is unusual or if urgent therapy is required.

Here at TissuPath we also pride ourselves on providing the quickest service possible. Nearly 99% of pathology reports for small tissue specimens (e.g. biopsies) are on the doctor's desk by the following morning (business day); for larger specimens (e.g. surgically-removed kidneys or prostate glands), 2 days is the norm as these specimens must be fixed for 18-24 hrs prior to being prepared for review by the pathologist.
